Description
The Western Classical Violin – Foundation Reset Series with Maestro Michael Rupam Makhal Makhal is a structured workshop program designed specifically for Western Classical Violin learners in India who feel stuck due to technical gaps, unclear guidance, or lack of deeper musical understanding. This weekly/fortnight series focuses on solving real problems from bow control, tone production, and intonation to articulation, dynamics, and effective practice methods – while also building a clear understanding of Western classical music through the works of composers like Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Beethoven to Tchaikovsky.
Each workshop is carefully designed to cover a selected set of these focus areas (not all at once) through technical training, musical application, and guided insights, ensuring clarity without overload. Over the full series, all essential aspects are systematically addressed – allowing participants to gradually rebuild their foundation, correct long-standing mistakes, and develop a more confident, refined, and musically aware approach to violin playing. At the end of the Workshop, there would be an interaction session for 10 – 15 minutes with Maestro Makhal.
Duration: The duration of the Workshop would be for one hour and thirty minutes.
Maestro Makhal will conduct these workshops on various important topics periodically – weekly or fortnight. The workshop information will be sent to interested candidates. Please write to us at artofviolin.hyd@gmail.com
The new topics for every workshop would be mentioned here at the Booking Option menu.
